We’re sure many of our followers are also fans of Staša Klemen. We’ve been in the fan club ever since we first saw her stylish depictions of modern family life on Instagram. We have had the pleasure of talking with Staša about finding inspiration, motherhood and life with loved ones.
Saira & Will left their home in London and moved to the Slovenian countryside to start a boutique bed and breakfast. We spoke to them about their connection to Little Otja, their exciting project — Marnie’s House — and their new life in beautiful Slovenia.
Every year the residents of the Pine Forest celebrate a very special holiday — Sun Day. This is a celebration of the life-giving energy of the Sun. Tradition states that the celebrating should be carried out by basking in the sunlight and eating a lot of ice-cream.
Jaka and Sara are an inspiring young married couple. They live in a nice house with their two-year-old daughter Brina and super cute dog Mila. Oh, and there’s another baby on the way! As you might imagine, there’s never a boring moment under their roof: the air is always buzzing with activity, full of smiles and laughter. Little Otja went over to have a chat about this and that.
When the holiday season is approaching the Pine Forest, everybody gets into a jolly mood. But they do things a bit differently here. For example: when it’s time to decorate, Pine Foresters don’t chop down trees and put them up in their living rooms. Oh no, they instead decorate the trees that grow around town.
Winter came to the Pine Forest, snow settled on the trees and made them white. People were outside, some ice-skated on the frozen lake, while others spent their days sledding on Pine Hill or just playing in the snow.
One day while cruising through Instagram we stumbled upon a great-looking profile called Bunch of Boys and it’s creator Agata Kmuk. Her aesthetically pleasing style won us over immediately—and we’ve been in love ever since. Agata is a self-confessed coffee and chocolate fanatic, who has a talent for sewing (she says she’s learned it all from YouTube). She’s originally from Poland and has relocated to Cork, Ireland, where she now spends most of her time with—you guessed it—a bunch of boys.
Sara is an inspiring person. A young mommy of two who works at the Institute for Vocational Education and Training, where she consults young people and organizes the Euroskills international competition for professional skills. She has decorated her home in a contemporary minimalist style, in which she incorporates colourful little pieces of her roots.
