Pinefulness: Katja Orličnik

Katja Orličnik is a ceramic artist with a passion for clay. She uses her pottery wheel to create useful (and beautiful) ceramic items that have an air of authenticity in an age of mass production. She teamed up with Little Otja for a series of ceramic mugs.
We've had a short conversation about how she finds peace of mind in her day-to-day life.
Starting the day off right
I know it will be a good day when I get woken up by the postman who brings me my hardly anticipated package of glazes. This is followed by the first morning cup of coffee and a sleepy cat that takes a nap on my fresh linen.
Making the most of a rainy day off
On rainy days I like to work with the window open. The sound of rain soothes me and helps me create. I’d rather take the day off if its sunny outside.
Unwinding after a tense situation
If my boyfriend’s around I vent my anger out on him. He asks me out to dinner in about two hours. :)
Productive boredom
When I’m feeling productively bored I browse Instagram or watch a vlog. Coffee with friends is also a good idea, always.
A small something that makes any day better
A nice message from a happy customer.
The thought of being with friends brings a smile to my face.
